Brie Aljets

Brieonna grew up in real estate with her Mom as a Broker, and has held a number of positions within the industry over the last 15 years. These roles include: team leader, managing broker, Buyer's agent, Association Executive, and productivity coach throughout IL, TN and CO. Currently, she holds a managing broker's license and has a degree in Education. Her passion is training and consulting; she teaches real estate school as well and enjoys bringing humor into the classroom. Let's be authentic, the ins and outs of real estate can be ahem...somewhat boring. Without a laugh she's not sure anything qualifies as success. Having taught first grade previously, she's more than prepared to handle any situation in the classroom! 

Outside of work you can find Brieonna spending time with her family and friends. She enjoys trail running, working out, and snowboarding. Just like most Gunnison residents, she came for the winter but stayed for the phenomenal summers. Growing up in the Midwest, she is thrilled to avoid the extreme humidity that IL had to offer. Her husband is a distinctive metal artist; and they have a wild, loving 6-year old boy. And yes, Brieonna may be caught writing a Real Estate course on the weekend...

Jason Kay

Jason spent 18yrs as a mechanical engineer in R&D product development prior to becoming a Realtor.  His first job out of school was Bell Labs where he earned most of his 35 patents and his Masters in Mechanical Engineering from Columbia University. Fast forward those 18 years and he left his technical sales / engineering / project management job in 2013 to join his wife Trish Giassa in her thriving real estate business.  

Since they've been working together they've sold over $300 million in volume, and Jason received his luxury certification and became a Guild member of ILHM in 2015, became a certified instructor with eXp Realty in 2019, and a Success Coach in 2022. Most importantly, 35 of his last 37 buyer sides he's taken the client out once and gotten them under contract. Jason enjoys many repeat clients and referrals from his happy buyer clients.

When not at work, Jason enjoys cars (especially tracking them), which includes coaching teens car control and accident avoidance with Street Survival as well as volunteering as a safety and corner worker with Rocky Mountain Vintage Racing.  Additionally, he's taught mogul skiing to the physically disabled with Crested Butte's Adaptive Program, and loves skiing, hiking the backcountry, and cooking - but not all at the same time.
